After months of preparation, we’re glad to announce that the first station of the Landrunning World Series—Pattaya, Thailand—is now open for entries!
On 3 January 2021 (Sunday), you’ll have an opportunity to experience the beautiful environs of Pattaya with Landrunning, the sport that combines trail running and orienteering—whether in-person or on your mobile. The race will have 4 distances, 30km / 15km / 8km / 4km—suitable for young and old runners from 8 years old.
Moreover, if you can’t come to Thailand personally to experience the event, you can join the event on mobile virtually. With Thailand reopening for tourism, if you later find out that you can travel to Thailand and would like to run the race in person, you can convert your virtual entry to a physical one for free.
Landrunning is for you who are passionate in running but want to try something new. It’s a running race with no specific route—you can choose your own way between each checkpoint. You’ll be given a map to navigate—you can buy an optional compass too to help with your navigation.
The race is a part of the Thailand International Orienteering Championship 2020 & Landrunning Festival, and packages encompassing all the races are available. There’s also a Micro Orienteering event on Saturday at the race expo in Pattaya, which can also be joined virtually. If you attend the race physically, hotel rooms at the event centre Ravindra Resort Pattaya are available at a price exclusively for runners.
Be aware that the number of participants is limited to 200, and prices will increase with the number of runners. So, please register ASAP!
Prepare well for the race, good luck, and see you (physically or virtually)!
